Uhggg -_- Why does bad stuff always come in pairs?

First my knee this week, today my car...

My dad took the car to the Ford Garage for a full service + APK (MOT) today... They just called back saying that my "Fiasco" has failed his APK (MOT) because of the steeringrack that's leaking oil like there is no tomorrow. The same steeringrack that Stoelbank and I "fixed" a few months back! >_< I did know that it was dripping somewhat but I figured that it came from the old oil that we'd spilled while changing the old one for the current one.

Total costs for the repair... wait for it... €750 for parts and miscellaneous bits alone <_> They told me that the total costs for this repair alone (there are some other small things that need to be fixed) will be an estimated total of €1000 <_>

So in the end I'll be looking at a bill in excess of €1500... (APK + steeringrack + other repairs + hours of laybor)

The saddest part of all is that I need this (or a) car to travel to and from work and internship to earn some hard needed money next week.

Gues that'll have to wait then since there are no train or bus-services going to both places.

Meh -_-. Enough bla-bla-bla-cry-whine-boo-hoo shit for now....

PS: Friday the 13th... It sucks!

For me that is >:}

Today I had the chance to fulfill a "childhood" dream of mine... Sitting behind the wheel of an authentic Ford Siërra Rs500 Cosworth >:}
450 BH/P (on low boost mind you....1.1 bar :P), 4wd and a 0 to 60 time in 3 seconds >:} damn that car is FAST!
Not normal fast but realy REALY F*CKING FAST!!!

3rd Gear... 190/200 km/h O_O makes me wonder what kind of speeds the 2 remaining gears would take the car to O_O...

Here are some pics of the car I drove...
Behind the cut ofcourse ;) )

Finaly, the Fiasco (nickname for my Ford Fiësta) works again!!!

After replacing the front lower wishbone suspension bushes on both sides, the CJ-joint (homokineet... yes, the only gay part of the car :P ) and today both front-brakes (the calipers and the disks), he now works as it should (for now).

I'm totaly nackered and broke, but it's worth it.

Next thing that's on the "to-do-list" for this car is to get the dents worked out and the rusty spots repaired and a (partial) respray.

But untill then, there's still that other Ford that's been beging for some attention. Gives me some time to save up some money ;)

That's it for now.

Fixing your car in -5 is cold -.-;

Even if it is a part that normaly gets bloody hot.

Though driving your car in -5 in these conditions is fun.

Okay, here a little entry about how I experienced The furry Countcooldown in a nutshell...

Day one: Driving like mad to Okill's place to pic up the left over equipment and some cakes (some did not survive the journey to an unknown reason *grin*). Arriving just before 9-ish pm (I gues), unpacking our stuff, freezing our nuts off, and going to bed feeling like a popsicle.

Day two: Waking up with 2 snowballs and an icicle (don't need to explain any further I gues). Making a fire in the woodstove to defrost us and our equipment. Being a bit stressed because the lightcontroler we brought with us broke down. Installing and hanging all of the light equipment we brought with us. Welcoming the somewhat early arriving guests. Me being a bit stressed out because I didn't find any stores that would sell an airbed >_< ... Doing some final installation work. Having a tech-talk with Djem (who brought some nice  things with him for us to play with. Again a big thank you for that DJem^^ ). Missing dinner because of the tech-talk :P... Socialising and then going off to bed (this time not freezing my ass of)

Day 3: Waking up being all nice and warm. Getting up to prepair breakfast with Kaelin (pancakes). Doing all sorts of things (I gues... my mind is still somewhere between here and Geel). Eating, drinking, talking, playing guitar hero etc, etc....  Then listening to "grandpa" shay's story hour, which was followed by a little performance from Panzar (I gues we have found the equivalent of Kage Vs 2 the ranting grifon ; }  ) which in it's turn was followed by counting down the final seconds of 2008 and a nice fireworks display which was brought by tiggy (the little pyro that she is she made sure everything went down... or in this case up... smoothly). After that I got back inside where DJem was dj-ing for us and some of us danced a little. After the dance (which ended around 4.30-ish am) I made a little snack for the ones left over who where a bit hungry. After that we all went to bed.

Day 4: Waking up, eating breakfast, tearing down all of our equipment, saying goodbye to everybody that was leaving, cleaning the place up, driving back to Okill's place and then driving to the "Argentijn" for a little yummie dinner. After that we all said googbye and went our own ways back home.

To sum it all up..... I HAD A BLAST!!!! Even dispite the cold and the somewhat primitive conditions it was a party that in some way brought everybody a bit closer to one another. The atmosphere was excellent, the people where great, the foods was yummie, the music good, the lighting perfect and the party itself a great success.

There are some people that get some extra credit for making this party a success for me.
These people are:
DJem. For bringing his DJ equipment and some light-equipment for us to use.

Lupyfur. For bringing his sound equipement.

And Winterheart. For letting me experience what it feels like to be a fursuiter (Man, you triggered something in me which makes me want to commision one straight away).

From the bottom of my heart I thank you for this.

I think there will be more detailed  "TFC" reports comming in shortly so watch out for those if you want to have the complete story.

For now, to all a happy and healthy new year! Ow and... I survived 10 below fucking cold!!!  ; }

Greetz,

- Niko
